World of Warcraft Pre-Patch Thoughts
"Transmog Rules"
Patch 7.0 is the first patch which leads in to Blizzard
Entertainment’s highly anticipated expansion: Legion. This patch brings a lot
of changes, such as; garrison nerfs, class skills and design overhauls,
transmog wardrobe, item changes when leveling, and of course the pre-patch
events.
Transmog wardrobe |
Now, I play a protection warrior, and I have been since I
first started playing the game in The Burning Crusade (about 5 months before
Wrath of the Lich King). I’m not too happy in the redesign in this spec since I
absolutely loved the design for it in Warlords of Draenor.
The patch brings several things that Blizzard has planned
for the pre-launch event. Doomsayers can be found in capital cities and give
pamphlets of the incoming doom. My personal favorite feature, is the transmog
wardrobe.

The transmog wardrobe is an improved version of the
transmog system, but in a similar fashion to the all in one account mounts
system. For example, if I get Byrntroll, the Arbiter from Icecrown Citadel on
my warrior, it can be transmogged on any characters who can use two-handed
axes. This has created a “gotta catch ‘em all” mentality for me, and I’m
finding myself doing dungeons I’ve done before, much like I did when transmog
was initially implemented, except, I don’t have to keep the items in my bags,
bank, or void storage anymore. This has been an amazing new feature that I’ve
been farming for gear for my alts and mains at the same time, creating some fun
ways for me learn the new class changes and get some loot.

Overall, the transmog wardrobe is definitely the
highlight for this patch for me. I’ve been having fun trying to get as much
gear as I can. It has also been quite profitable. I cannot wait to see the rest
of what Legion has to offer when it releases August 30th of this
year.
